I always wanted to learn to paint but due to commitments ( family, work, horses) never had the opportunity. However, in 2009 I took on painting (watercolours under Cliff Hoskings tuition) and have never looked back. Have continued training under numerous teachers to broaden my experience and knowledge.
I am an active member of the Newcastle Art Society ( NAS ) and Society of Artists Newcastle and have won numerous awards Awarded through NAS – Des Vout award 2012, Joe Punshon award in 2013, 2014, 2015 and Newcastle Art Prize miniature in 2016.
Since discovering art, I now look at my surroundings in a new light. I hope I can continue to develop this in my future works
