Internationally acclaimed Lola Rose was a popular local artist who remained actively involved in the society for almost 70 years, contributing to our exhibitions with her highly sought-after artwork and radiant smile. She was a major player on the local art scene for many years, and continued to draw and paint all her life. The award in her name was established with her demise in 2013.
